HIGHLIGHTS
This beautiful 280 SL pagoda was delivered to its first owner in Switzerland on March 19th, 1968. It is one of the ultra-rare pagodas with the then very expensive and hardly ordered ZF 5-speed manual transmission ex works! In addition to the paint in silver metallic, the black genuine leather interior, mirror on the left, white wall tires, the ZF 5-speed manual transmission, power steering and the hardtop were also ordered in body color. It also remained in Switzerland to this day and is presented in a great and very original condition. The speedometer only shows a mileage of 112,000 kilometers and based on the existing checkbook and the very original condition of the SL.
All wear parts have been replaced and the entire technology has been extensively checked and reactivated. The body is completely unwelded except for a 10 cm spot on the underbody. The chrome parts are still unrestored and have a nice shine and great fits. The interior is in a wonderfully original and new condition and clearly reflects the mileage. The leather has no tears or open seams and the seats are comfortable and tight. Even the carpet is the first and in very good condition. The Mercedes was probably repainted in the 80s due to signs of wear. A paint layer measurement showed that there was no body work. Otherwise this pagoda is in untouched original condition and shines with dreamlike driving fun. Incidentally, only 3% of the total pagoda production was delivered with the ZF 5-speed gearbox, and only a very few of them in Europe! These vehicles are the rarest of the pagoda series and sit mostly in high-quality collections. Take the chance of this beautiful Swiss pagoda with the rarest production number of this series and high originality. An absolute opportunity and safe bank for collectors and greatest driving fun for users are guaranteed!
